How a deed is made

From first meeting to your deed

Every deed essentially follows the same steps. Signing always takes place at the office, before the notary. Here is what a transfer of right looks like.

  1. Consultation

Tell the notary what you need at the office, on a video call or on WhatsApp. The notary will explain which deed fits and what to prepare.

  2. Checks

The notary checks the parties' identity and authority, and the status of what is transferred: the certificate at the Land Office or the company record at AHU.

  3. Draft

Parties receive the draft to study. Changes are settled before signing day.

  4. Reading and signing

The deed is read aloud to the parties and two witnesses at the office, then signed.

  5. Copies and registration

Clients receive certified copies. Where needed, we register the deed with AHU or the Land Office through to completion.
